recoil 300rum vs 338 lapua

Im itching for a new toy. Ive been looking for a BR reapeater action to build a 338 lapua on. I already have a 300 rum that weighs about 9#. Would a 12-13# lapua kick comperable to the rum???

Im allergic to remington brass, it gives me the willies

I did not know it had that much for the 338LM. With that being said I have never seen a 338LM with out a brake on it.
