I didn't get any input from the last post so we'll try again. Have an unfired Kreiger barrel threaded, chambered, and headspaced, in 6BR ready to go. I've reconsidered and would like to change it to a 6BRDX. Can my gun smith simply run a 6 BRDX reamer in with no further machine work? I also have a Hart #4 chambered in 7 BR from my silhouette gun that has many rounds through it. Can my gunsmith run a 284 Win. reamer in with no other machine work. By this I mean not having to set the barrel back and rethread. In each of the two cases the barrels would go back on to the trued Rem. 700 actions they had been originally fitted to.
