Rechambering 223AI back to 223

If a Savage 223AI barrel was setback enough to clean up the chamber to rechamber it to a 223 would there still be enough threads to headspace the barrel without chasing a couple more threads?

Everything I find with searches is always rechambering a 223 to a 223AI, not the other way around.

Not likely, and if a factory contour you don't have enough shank to set it back.

I went form 223 to 222m and had no problems, verrrry accurate and good velocity

As said above, what is the contour of the barrel?

It was full bull profile. One was for sale on this site. Price got really good and thought about getting it and rechambering it back to 223 but it has sold now. Be curious to know though in case one pops up again.

Savage factory contours start to taper very quickly leaving little room for set back. 223AI would need ~1" at least set back to go back to straight .223. Large shank bull contour turned to small shank and you might get away with it.
