Recent USPS Delays..When Did They Start?

Mailed package to PA March 10 from Iowa. Just made it to PA today. Not delivered yet.
Did any of the tracking say "New Stanton" ?? That's been the most problem
in our region since they closed the hub in Erie. They are simply over loaded.

I've got a package out for delivery that's been in that status for 2 weeks. I live 150 miles north of Detroit and it's been pending in Detroit for all that time.

He did also mention there are people complaining of letters taking a month to be delivered.
The worst outcome with this are my bills. I had to start getting my credit card bills on line because they would arrive after the due date if mailed. Same with Insurance bills. The Companies dropped several policies because the payments were “late”. Again, I got the bills 2 days before the due date.

Restructuring has to tear down then rebuild...
I do all my personal bills electronically.

I also think paying electronically is acceptable despite the push against it.
I'm gonna try UPS for tails.... I'll have to see what they'll charge.
Up untill now the little boxes i send have gotten to people quicker than their checks get to me.
This is the first time I've had hung up this long.

I picture a mountain of packages waiting to be sorted. Another mound of miss sorted.

That's Phucked up

I've had credit card bills come after the due date, but luckily, my card
is thru my credit union and can drive there in 5 minutes to pay just in
case. Gas and Electric, the same. All local offices. If they look late, I go
right to them.

For what it's worth.....Erie had a postal worker rally yesterday against the
privatization of the postal service. Some had some good things to say
and one in particular brought out the "red flags" after long standing
supervisors were let go, with no due process. That issue is in the courts
right now......Have mixed feelings on that subject especially when you know
some of them personally......Times have changed !!

If these places were more efficient, they wouldn't be facing any changes. Squeaky wheel, ya know.

Well I don't know. Dejoy closed hubs all across the country and went on a cost
cutting spree. It backfired as I see it, and he just resigned. His wheels fell off.
Deputy Post Master Doug Toulino is stepping in to fill the roll for the time being.

Ya I saw all that. I have no answers except something is broken. I'm down with any suggestions to fix it.

Ya know......How about this. Maybe a little more thought and another
finger of Rye may have an answer. UPS, Fedex, DHL and the like, are
in place, although their efficiency comes into question also. How about
divesting "all packages" from USPS, and just have them deliver the mail
envelopes only as was meant to be !! Novel idea....eh ??

Shipped a gun from PA to TN. March 4th, still not there. Went to Philadelphia in 3 days(2 hour drive), March 13 in Memphis, then........March 20th it showed up in TEXAS!!!! Now it's "moving thru the network"

I purchased a shotgun from this board at the beginning of the first quarter. It is just arriving now, at the end of first quarter, after the post office lost it. A call to the post inspection service got it moving again after I was told it was lost & to file a claim by USPS. Unbelievable! Many thanks to the postal inspection service.
