Reboring a barrel to larger calibre

Had seen a couple of older posts about reboring a barrel so you could reuse it. One gents phone is not working ( Jim Dubell in Washington ) no other contact info listed.
Looking at having a 6mm. bored and then cut as a 6.5 . Preacher and Butch Lambert had mentioned this could be done, am trying to get an idea if a feasible project.

Best bet is to get a new barrel in the caliber you want.
Spoke with Frank at Bartlein about this, he basically said its not worth the effort due to the gundrill procedure required to bore the new barrel diameter. It can be done, but in most cases will end up costing as much or more than a new tube.
Just hate to give up on this one!! It's been a tackdriver since day one,

Unfortunately Jim Dubell passed away. The fellow that has been recommended many many times is JES Reboring. http://35caliber.com/2.html He is reasonable and very prompt. As Frank said I would agree if you were doing competition shooting, but for a very accurate hunting rifle, reboring is quite a bit cheaper.
