Rebated 338 lapua cases

Can 338lm cases be rebated enough to use with a standard mag boltface? It looks to be, but just how much lip is needed for the different extractors. Thanks

I do not know but it just might be easier to shoot a 338rum or a 338edge. That does use a standard mag bolt face.

Brass is the issue. Or lack of in the case of the RUM.

I remember reading an article in Precision shooting Magazine a long time ago. I can't remember what year or what it was called but he called the cartridge 338 Dejavue or something like that. Maybe somebody else remembers or has the magazine. I would try to goggle it or rebated 338 Lapua. Matt

Thanks matt. But I think that one is based on the 8 rem mag case. I'm just going to butcher up a couple pcs of brass and find out. I'm just being a cheapskate.

Not the way I had hoped for. But my measurements early on said it would be iffy. Not that it can't be done, but might as well use it as designed. Thanks to all who replied.
