Rebate Grendel Rims?

I’ve seen posted before about rebating BR cases to fit a PPC bolt face, is there enough meat on a Grendel case to turn it down to fit a 223 bolt face? Not about to attempt it, but considering it rather than purchasing a new bolt

I've never rebated Grendel rims but they share the same bolt face with a PPC. No need to rebate for that purpose.

Bolt gun is what I was thinking. Have a model 7 in 223 that I was thinking about repurposing as a grendel truck gun for hogs

Send the bolt to carlsbad and make it a ppc bolt. Simple to do

... or get a econd bolt. The cost is, of course, a factor but the hassle factor more than offsets the price.

Back in the "olden days" it was commonm to rebate and otherwise the BR brass to 223 bolts. I have several pieces here in my shop. It help put Red Cornelison as the first in the BR Hall of Fame.
It sure ain't hard to do.
