rear bags question

Hi Everyone
I am needing to know the advantage and disadvantages on the height of the ears on the rear bag. Was planning to get a protektor double stitch bag not sure of the one to get,bunny or mid-ear).

Call Protektor, correct spelling) and ask them. They also sell retail at the factory. They are in Galeton, PA and offer many styles of bags not shown in catalogs.
The bags tend to be specific to stock design....and the shape, round vs. flat bottom is a factor along with the width of the flat.
From my notes rounded buts, hunting and hunter-class stocks will benefit with a bag with tall ears).
On flat bottom stocks, the flat on the stock should never touch the bottom of the bag.
One sure bet is Cordura is a better material for contact with the stock....simply spray it with a pure silicone grade of spray.
The elongated bags filled with heavy sand are a definite plus if you have a rifle with heavy recoil.
