Rear Bag Rider

Any idea if one of these EGW bag riders would work on a Mcmillan A3. The EGW is made for ar style stocks but attaches on the swivel stud like any other rifle. First pic is off their web site and the second pic is a stock just like mine.

Probably not without modifications cause a ar "sling stud" is way different than the one on your Mickey.

Note the piece that sticks up in this image. As I recall, this comes out.

The A2 stock is fairly narrow. If you wish I can give you the width near the base to see how it compares to your stock. I have the bag rider and don't think it would fit well on my Bell & Carlson tactical stock, but it might. Never tried it.

Yes, it should be very similar in thickness to the b&c stock. What materials would be best to try and make one out of? A 1" wood block and a mill sure would be nice to have.

I made this out of a piece of oak, using just a dremmel with a sanding drum. It was pretty darn easy, just took some time to get it fitted right. It works great, rifle tracks very straight.

I would use Delrin. You can get it at McMaster-Carr. I have a mill and thought about making one for my A2 stock, but for $35, I just bought one. However, I may try making one for my Bell & Carlson. I am not quite sure how I would cut the radiused bottom though. I can probably figure something out.

I took the sling stud out & replaced it with a screw, which holds the pvc in place. But now the stock looks like this and the sling stud is screwed back in.
