Rear bag question

I have a fiberglass Shehane Tracker stock (3" flat bottom forend, 5/8" flat bottom buttstock). I want to order a new rear bag, but I'm not sure if it should be spaced 5/8" between the ears or slightly narrower. What is the correct spacing that I need for the rifle to track properly ?

Also, is the height of the ears critical for tracking ?

This will be for a 17 lb target rifle, and I do not shoot free recoil.

I have a Shehane Tracker stock too>>> it is laminate though. I ordered from Protektor a "Doctor" bag with slick material with ear spacing of 9/16ths of an inch. It fits slightly snug but slides nicely and tracks exceptionally well.

Just buy a edgewood shehane bag
