Rear bag height

Texas Solo

B.S. High Master
I got a new Protector "Dr" bench/LR bag. I like it, but it's too high. I have to move my bipod too high for my liking.
I spoke to Protector this AM. They said all I can do is to remove some sand. I need to drop it about 1".

Has anyone experienced doing this?
What was your result?

Each range is different if you travel. i shoot a DR, and a few ranges, I
wish the rear bag was taller. Shooting the short yardages at Anderson
Creek has most of the guy's putting a board under their rear bag......
Dropping a DR one full inch is a lot of sand ?? Sides will bulge out
quite a bit. What ear spacing are you using. I'm thinking with all that
sand removed, the center may want to sink if not settled. This then
would pinch the stock.....Just thinking out loud.

Yes. I ran into the same problem. Protector’s website said the rider area between the ears is 4” high, like several of their other rear bags. And they’re correct about that, except they don’t account for or tell you how thick the base is that’s attached to the bag. I use it for prone ELR shooting and it was way too high. I emptied a bunch of sand from the bag which definitely lowered it, but now there’s a pronounced bulge in the front of the bag and the grip on my chassis often makes contact with it upon recoil. I’m definitely not happy about it. Aside from that, though, it’s a good bag.

Contact Protektor im sure you can come to some understanding...They are a great bunch of fellas.
They have always worked with me. I think they can-rework it for you perhaps.?
