Rear bag for Savage F class stock

I'm fairly new to bench shooting and looking for recommendations for a rear bag. I have a Savage F class stock. I'm using a Caldwell Rock front rest. I have been using the standard Protektor rear bag with varmint rifles. The ears are a bit narrow for the wider Savage F class stock. Any recommendations on a bag or how to determine the proper width between the ears? Looking at Protektor's options it appears they offer 3/8", 1/2" or 1" width between the ears. Also any input on the pros/cons on short or taller ear height?

Yes. I have the version with the built in handle:

Can't remember if mine was 1/2" or 5/8" between ears. I prefer the taller ears.

I now use it with PR&T low boys and it works great with that stock too.
