rear bag for model 12 F class

Who makes a rear bag to fit the wide base on the but of the stock for a savage model 12 f class? The ears would have to be about an inch apart?

When ordering a custom bag, remember you still want the spacing between the ears a little narrower than the width of the flat on your buttstock. Most people believe it is better for the butt to ride on the sides of the ears rather than over the stitching.

I had Protector make me one of their Dr bags with the ears at 1' apart and also bought a Edgewood mini gator with the ears at 3/4' apart both seem to work well and I have to say the Protector bag only took a week to get and they had to make it.

I was looking on Edgewoods site and see they are having closeout sales on some bags and at least one mini gator with the 3/4' spacing.

I could be wrong but I believe I was told or read on their web suite that Edgewood was no longer takes custom orders. I checked a week or so back and was told that their front bag for the compact Farley was still in R&D but might possibly be available later this year.

Rich, what did the custom Protektor bag set you back?

You are right Edgewood no longer takes custom orders or they didn't when I bought mine.
The Protector Dr bag was $80 unfilled.

I too was looking for a rear bag suited for the wide 'F' class stocks. Following Rich's advice I contacted the good folks at Protektor,814)435-2442 and ordered their Dr. Bag with one inch spacing and Cordura mid-ears filled with heavy sand. I also found out that they have a pattern to make a 3' wide front bag for the Compact Farley. I was told that they would be able to make both bags fill and ship them to me in about a week. I found the folks at Protektor to be friendly as well as customer service oriented, which make this a refreshing transaction.
