Rear bag ear height

I know it's a personal preference but what do you prefer for benchrest, wether it be short or long range. Looking at getting a DR flat top, and my other standard protector bags have rabbit ears because it gives me the ability to squeeze them and adjust, but I won't need that with the DR and a joystick front rest.

Ear height’ at least from what I’ve observed through trial and error has been a non issue, ear spacing and sand composition is the important part simply because the rifle doesn’t ( or shouldn’t ) torque or twist enough to be influenced with tall ears.
