Rear bag angle direction

For a SR BR stock I find that matching the direction of slope to the rifle ( low side to the rear) offers the most stable and best tracking as it provides the most surface area for contact between the two.

I run slope to the rear also. I guess you can run it either way on a straight stock but as most things on rifles you want it to fall away or not be climbing or restrained from travel. I see plenty of good shooters with the slope forward so their adjustable butts don't make contact with the base or it's simply in their way back there.

My Stock has a bag rider that is not angled. I have a protector bumble bee bag that has a slope and I was just trying to figure out if one way was inherently better. Was also thinking about making a wedge to go under it to make it level.

I think protector's "dr's bag" design is made flat. I'm considering trying one. Like said above, many put slope forward and full size gators are all ran forward that I've seen. I wish edgewood would make the gator line with flat tops. They seem to all slope. Barry.
