reamer design leade/throat angle?

Im curious as to the throat or leade angle on reamers. I see some 22lr reamers as 2deg, some 22wmr at 15 deg and dont see to much on centerfire. Im wondering if the 15 degrees of the 22wmr is just an old poor design that has never been updated.
