Hiyas,
I currently shoot F/TR matches in Australia and have made good use of the wind equation in the article on wind reading by Maj. John Plaster. As I'm now graduating to shooting match rifle which will take me out to 1200 yards my question to you is this,
Do I use the same constant for 1100 and 1200 yards as I would for 1000 yards, the constant for 1000yrds being 11 or is it dropped down to 10 or 9, or maybe even 8 given the slowing speed of the rounds velocity.
Equation being:
range/10
x
wind speed/mathematical constant= MOA
eg.
300/10=3, 3 x wind speed of 10mph=30, 30 divided by the constant(15 @ 300 yards)=2 MOA of adjustment.
Please help
Thanks
