Go to http://www.readerange.org/ for information. We have monthly 1000 and 600yd. Prone Matches. F- class and NRA Prone shooters are welcome. We also have monthly NRA XC league matches.
The range has just been reconfigured with all new firing lines and target carriers. There are 25 firing points. See the website for pictures and a lot more information.

Looks REAL nice..glad to see your getting out on the internet..I think since you guys have the distance you should add the groundhog match to your events...You could have any distance you'd like..100-200-300, 200-300-500, 300-400-500...If you do decide to have them I'd be glad to come over and help you set up the format...the Mifflin Co Sportsmens, St. Thomasville and the Shippensburg Sportsmens had been very successul..it permits sighters and spotting scope, giving eveyone a fair and equal chance, not just the locals and long time vetrens..it would be nice to shoot off the ground..all of the above matches shoot at different distances and at different hog targets..you could mix and match your own...glad to come over and help you set it up...

Thanks for the reply. The groundhog matches are something we'll have to discuss. We are busy this year working on the Range and running all our other matches, so I doubt if we would be able to do it this year. Maybe we could do it next year if we decide we're interested. Thanks for offering your help, maybe we'll take you up on it sometime.

MIKE...your more than welcome..I'd be more than happy to help you in anyway possible to establish that part of your shooting venue, it is the fastest growing form of organized benchrest going..between 50 and 130 shooters or guns are showing up at just about every match held in this state..lots of cash flow being generated that leads to lots of other good things happening for your club..I live about 20 miles from the range and would be happy to sit down at any time to help you get the format right..let me know and I'll get as many of the targets that I can for you to see, or help you make your own.. I've shot this form of shooting with ole Ron Yingling for many many years..also, your more than likely going to be contacted by some representatives from the Williamsport 1000 yard match in getting another 1000 range going, those guys have been doing thos for many many years and they know exactly what to do..they get over 225 shooters from all over the east coast. Sure is nice seeing another great facility being expanded "big time".. Frank
