Re ream and rifle a barrel company?

I have been looking and searched for them but can't seem to find.
Does anyone know who does this I have a couple barrels that I would like to have them redone to a bigger caliber?
They are 25 caliber that seem to tight and would like to have them made in to 6.5 caliber.

Butch, I don't think JES does anything smaller than .338 these days. Not sure Cloudrepair, but you may want to check his website - I could be wrong on this.

Years ago I contacted the late Jim Dubell (spelling) owner of Clearwater Reboring about reboring a .25 cal to .264 cal and he said he couldn’t do it. Calibers too close in size for drilling, could do .270 and larger.

Thanks I may have to go with a 7mm or 30 caliber

Was just wondering...A lot goes into making barrels that doesn't meet the eye and working with unknown values of the steel and heat treat, I think it may be fraught with unseen perils. Maybe not as much with a cut rifle barrel but a buttoned bbl, for sure is very dependent on knowing these things in order to know what the reamed hole needs to be before you ever attempt pulling a button through it. Likely very doable for hunting guns or collectables but I'm not sure how the finished product would stack up against a well made from scratch blank for a comp rifle. Not sure how much bigger you'd need to go over the original bore to get rid of the compression of the steel, particularly on a buttoned barrel. I've always heard about stolen vehicles that had numbers ground off of the frame etc, still being readable by x ray or whatever the fbi uses in those cases.

Yes it is unlikely I will be able to do anything with these when I may be able to get a top of the line blank for not much more .
I didn't think about the stress put into these.

I'm certainly not saying it can't be done, just that there's more to consider than may meet the eye is all. Frankly, I don't know for sure and should probably just leave it at that. If it was as good as it sounds, it's hard to believe it's not done more often, too.

@Cloudrepair I’m just curious how you determined they were too tight?

If that method is verifiable, I’d like to know (in private) who made those barrels so I never buy one.
