RE: 6x47 Swiss Match

Anyone use this cartridage? I was thinking with Lapua importing 6.5x47 that a necked down Swiss match would be the cats behind using a 1-7.5 twist pac-nor launch the 115 molyed bergers at around 3K from a 30 inch tube.

Plan is to buy a Savage LR varmint--the single shot left port rifles comming out in 06 and switching out the barrel to a 6x47 SM.

So what do ya think!

RHINOUT!

Great idea. I have a couple samples of the 6x47 SM that reader John Adams sent me and it's good stuff.

But... the problem is getting the Brass in the USA. Reader Klenchblaize has described how he was able to order it direct for delivery in the UK, but thus far, I know only one guy who's gotten a large quantity of 6x47 SM brass into the USA, and that was by a friend carrying it in from Europe.

But it sure would be nice to be able to load and shoot the 6mm 115s without worrying about necking up etc.

I do expect the 6.5x47 with 123 Scenars will come VERY close to the performance of the 6XC ballistically, with potentially longer barrel life. We'll have to wait and see though.
