RE-17 6BR

Last year I bought some RE-17 because there wasn't much in the store and I heard stories of increases fps. I am trying to show the speed potential and not suggesting loads. Some of my FPS doesn't look like it matches the wt. of powder but I get a 40-70 ES all the time. Other loads shot after the RE-17 looked very good on my Oehler 33. All Data 70 GR Sierra BK. 26” 6BR Norma Kreiger Barrel, 0.065” freebore. Looks like a poor choice for 55-70 gr bullets. One shot for each data point.

Try some LT-32. I'm using 29.4 grains of LT-32 behind a 68 grain Barts BT. I'm getting 3300 - 3330; still working on getting the spread lowered. Accuracy is really good at 100 yards.

I was just trying RE17. I thought it would not work before I tried it. I have been shooting the rifle for 5 years. Lots of data. I get good speed with light bullets with RE-15, 8208, Varget and H322.

Today I shot:
70 BK 33.6 8208 3448 fps Avg. of 5
58 VMax 33.3 8208 3574 fps avg of 5
58 VMax 3605 fps 33.6 8208
I have shot 3650 fps with 58 VMax no presure
