RCBS X Die for the 300 win mag?

Is there any benefit to using the x die on the 300 win mag since its a belted case and seats at the rear? Also is there any increased wear/stress from the bumping function that will cause the case to fail prematurely? Thanks for advice as this is my first time reloading for a belted case.

The trick is keeping them all the same exact length and shooting a consistent load to control brass flow.If you shoot say 4 loads getting hotter each time, measure after firing and make sure they are similar before you resize.I hope this helps.

Thanks for teh info gents, I have two hundres Norma cases to start off with. That die is a little spendy but probably worth it in the long run.

The 300 WM may headspace on the belt for the first firing, but after that, it headspaces on the shoulder like most other cases.

I shoot 3 belted magnum cases, and never had the imagined problems that the larry willis die is supposed to solve... neither has anyone I know.

It is an expensive trinket for your loading shelf.
