There is an earlier thread regarding this. I have a 1969 RC. I know that they converted to the spent primers going out of the rear instead of the front. Another poster has a primer catch tray that he markets. The rear ejection seems better. Question is, can you get a different ram and convert the press to rear ejection? What version are they now up to, 4? Did not know that the newer ones were make in China. Is there a Trump conversion for those?

I have an older RC and use the aftermarket spent primer recovery system. Take the ram out and reverse it , primers exit the rear.. No big project.

The ram is the same for both the original RC and the Generation ll. Part #09134

I have been using a LEE hand punch and an 8 oz dead blow hammer to decap all my cases since 1971. I have never damaged a case or broken a decapping pin in all those years. I also do not get the abrasive primer ash in the bearing surfaces between the ram and the frame.
Even if you intend to modify your press you can use a hand punch now and it works for all presses.
