Hi all,
I am missing one part from the Piggyback II, (Case Detection Push Rod, Key # 37), which is no longer available from RCBS. I was able to make the other missing part (Ram Adapter, Key # 31) which is also unavailable from RCBS.
When contacted, customer support at RCBS said these parts were out of stock and discontinued. When asked for a dimensional drawing for the Push Rod, RCBS said they do not provide drawings - not even for their discontinued parts. Under a similar situation several years ago, LEE Precision immediately emailed a dimensional drawing for a discontinued part.
Making the Ram Adapter was reactively easy without having a dimensional drawing because this part is basically just an extended shell holder. And those parts being connected by the Adapter were used to determine the diameter of this missing Adapter. The length was estimated, but the finished Adapter works great
But the missing Case Detection Push Rod is more difficult to make without having anything for reference.
If anybody has one of these not-so-common RCBS Piggyback II Conversion Units, it would be great if you could provide some dimension information about that Push Rod.
The Piggyback II exploded drawing is attached. Again, looking for # 37.
Regards,
Gray Smith
