Rather unusual 6 BR reloading request

I hope to receive my new Savage F Class rifle in 6 BR during the first week of December. I would like to shoot in a large regional midrange / F class during the last week of December in Florida. I have brass prepped and ready to load, but I am waiting for the rifle to see how far I should set the 107 Sierra Match Kings back from engagement. I have other Savage rifles and it seems that with the Sierra bullets that 0.02 from engagement works pretty well. Trouble is I will not have enough time or enough decent weather to work up a load prior to leaving for Florida from Ohio. I could load enough rounds to get me through the match and hope for the best without working up my own load. For those of you shooting this rifle - bullet combination - what load of Varget are you using and how long are you seating the bullets? I could go with overall length or with a Stoney Point Comparator reading. If not Varget, please give your lenght specs. Thanks for helping.

Sorry Captain

You may get answers to this post. They'll be nothing but a WAG.

30gns of Varget is considered the "go to load" in 6BR with heavies.
You can chose to use it or go with another option.
As for COL. Same deal. Your rifle will be different.
Best advice is seat em long and reseat when you get your rifle to whatever you believe will work.
IMO there is no magic load that is near competitive in every rifle.

Add to the fact your asking a factory barrel to come out of the box and shoot long strings? Just have fun no matter what.

Load 'em with 30 grains of Varget or RL15, seat 'em back maybe .020" once you get your new Savage... or buy one of these: http://www.sinclairintl.com/userdocs/products/l_749006085_1.jpg
- and plan on leaving the cartridges seated long until you can use the die to seat them to your needs once you get to Palm Bay for the fun over the holidays.

If you ever use the lighter bullets h322 works real well around 29.2 grains for me but you need to work up as always to read your pressure signs. The reloading manuals will give you good loads as well. You can work them up later but you wont know till you shoot them. I would make the time to experiment alittle before taking an expensive trip to shoot and only be disapointed with the performance.
