Rangefinder Suggestions Please

I don't know how steady your hands/arms are. I found out that if you aren't steady, the smaller the rangefinder the more it will shake. That was my case anyway.

Those of you that went with the maven have you used it on small targets yet? Looking to upgrade my rangefinder for groundhog hunting.
I use a cheap Bushnell 850 for hunting wood chucks. Got it in a lot of stuff from an estate. Looking for something better myself, let me know what you find.

i had a leica 1600b for years and have had the leica 3500 for almost 2 years now. you can’t go wrong with leica. i’ve been nothing but impressed and happy with leica after owning leupold nikon and bushnell models. buy once and cry once.

Are you pairing it to the app and using the ballistic calculator with it?

i’ve got my 5700 krestrel paired with my phone when i works. it’s been kinda finicky but i have not done anything like that with the leica. i don’t learn new tricks easily lol

Where is a good place to purchase the Maven rangefinder? I believe I'm going to go this route this year and see how I like them.

I have a Sig 2400ABS. It’s good out to 1200 or so but once I get past that it struggles on bright sunny days. We’ve been shooting out in the badlands and the distance is unlimited, it’s frustrating when you see a distant target and can’t get a reading. I’ve been looking at range findings binoculars, Europtic has the Sig 3000KiloBDX on sale currently, I may give them a try and see if that helps get me out to 2k+. I plan on buying a nice set or Swaros or Leica this fall but need to do some research and accuracy and true range finding capabilities.

My 2400 and 2700b Leicas will reliably range to 2K.

I just bought a set of Vortex rangefinder binoculars, mainly for prairie dogging, so far I'm impressed with my limited usage.

Although, enough so, that I decided to sell/list my 2700's.

The 2700b I've ranged coyotes at over 1K in a flat snow covered field in bright sun.

I've received the Maven's and have been playing with them. I'm very impressed, you definitely get a lot for your $$$. Come this Saturday they'll be in the prairie dog fields with me.

If you don't need the latest and greatest

The Gunwerks BR2 is a simple reliable precise laser that has a built in solver. Excellent Sub1k yd laser.

I think I saw one for sale in classifieds by @Greg Taylor
