Range Cart ?

I'm interested in building or buying a good range cart. It seems like I have to make about 4 trips from my truck to the benches and I'm looking for something nice that I can carry my Farley, Ammo Bag and 3 or 4 Rifles. I have looked at Lowes, Home Depot as well as other places. Haven't seen anything that "Tripped my Trigger" yet. I would appreciate any thoughts, ideas and suggestions. Thanks in advance. George

There are some green expanded wire wagons out there that seem to work well or you can look at the ( fold it) . If it is rough ground then big tires are a plus.

Seriously, Most of the guys at the matches I attend have those blue milk crate type carts with the white handles ( I think they may not be made anymore). Some have a fold able "wagon" cart that academy sells.

You can use google images and search for range cart and see a ton of options

I'm wondering if it wouldn't be too hard to modify an ATV or Golf cart, you could load it up at the car drive it to the line. If it was an ATV, the options open up for hunting also.

Some of the best ones I have see were Home made.
The ones with Bike wheels seem to roll the best.
Check out the photos of some on Benchrest central see photos of the matches and you will see some on the line at times.
I have one a freind made form a luggage carrier, It needs bigger wheels.

I bought a Chinese cart from Amazon. It's big but I have a Suburban to haul it around. The fold-up that zfastmalibu posted is also popular and will fit in a car trunk. Either will haul what you described.

I have been using this for 25 years for matches and even took it out in the field for prairie dogs. It folds up and fits in the trunk.

Rugged Gear 2-gun gun buggy. Holds everything, easy to push, stable and folds up. I have a Fold-It and love it but if it ever goes down (not likely) I am buying a buggy.

I have plans to modify my golf bag carrier cart for that purpose. Should be pretty easy. I want to be able to store cleaning supplies and my rest/bags on the cart as well as rifles. I think a golf bag cart would be much nicer than a wagon if ever having to go up or down stairs. Not sure if I'll be able to get it all on there like I have planned, but I'll see what I can come up with.

i use the foldit like nosualc. love it but it is large [thats why i like it]

you can load a large box in it and strap a cleaning cradle to the top to clean on. not perfect but a safe place to store you rifle [ and get cleaning space]

there are several large plastic tool boxes with 2 wheels in the back and a handle in the front that have some potential.

I got a collapsible dock cart made by Taylor Made. I tried to search for a vendor that sells them, but appears they are no longer made. It works great.

Search for the Fish-n-mate beach cart.

a bit expensive but durable and well worth it.

has eight rod holders that can be adapted to hold other items, I have drink holders, umbrella holders, and a removable mount for a spotting scope.

The best feature is a rack that goes in the trailer hitch on the back of your vehicle. you can carry it on the bumper and it will also carry a couple hundred pounds of extra stuff (think coolers). Expands the volume capacity of your vehicle.

it was designed in North Carolina for pier fishermen such that when they got done, they could put it on the back bumper and not stink up their vehicle with bait, fish, worms, etc. I have had mine for about 5 years and the my only problem is the PVC accessories I made for it do not last as long as I would like.

At the range my standard load is two chairs, a medium cooler, a umbrella, and either my pistol box if doing bullseye or my cased rifle, spotting scope, shooting coat, and duffle bag with all my four position gear. I usually have a couple extra guns from my fellow competitors on the way back to the car.

Google Fish-N-mate. I got the large one.

Regards,
Cranky
