Ran out of Moly D

I only chamber about 4 barrels a year, I just ran out of Moly D, I have some Pump Spray Accu-Lube,Tap Free ,Thick tap oil, Tap Matic fluid, Trim-sol, trany fluid. Getting ready to buy some more Moly D because it has always worked well for me. Is that my best option considering the other oils I have.?? All barrels are SS. I think a pint of Moly would last me a long time and I can get that for approx $20.00.

Maybe give vipers venom oil a try. I've really liked it so far

If your "Thick tap oil" has a decent sulfur content it should work.

Vipers Venom, Rigid Pipe Threading OIl cut 20% with ATF, both work very well.
BTW an old Machinist stated that he uses Hog Lard, swears its the best cutting oil ever made, but will go rancid.

Is Hog lard the same as lard? I hear bacon grease is good ? I tried Accu-Lube with a New 223 reamer and it would only cut .040-.050 then I would have to pull out and clean, is that because it has no sulfur? . I ordered some Ridgid Dark 1 gal.

Lots of sulphur! I use vipers venom but rigid dark is good. Go to an electrical supply house

Its used by many gunsmiths. I believe Shariz carries it.
