Need some troubleshooting help: Bad Gas Block or Out of Spec Bolt Catch

To answer a few questions:
This isnt a bur.

This is the photo from the barrel new:

This is it after 200 rounds:

The same superlative arms gas block was used for both barrels. Then I swapped to an aero adjustable, then just a ballistic advantage standard gas block.

From the direction of the photo, muzzle end is on the right.

Ive contacted both Proof and Superlative arms about it as well, I'm just waiting on answers. I asked Proof what they recommend for components, buffer system, etc. because their website just says "adjustable gas blocks" and full mass bolt carrier (linking to apf armory, which didnt even have 5.56 bcgs on its website until this month) and "full mass buffer", and that they headspace to JP bolts.

It sounds to me like like it's the spring or buffer or both. Your complaint of the the bolt stop not working is evidence to me that the bolt is not traveling rearward far enough. There is a lot to choosing the right ones. Here is a chart for buffers. And another for springs. You can find your own info, This is just a sample. I have experimented a lot to get things running especially on PCC carbines such as 45ACP, I have an AR10 spring in mine, Experiment with different spring weights to start with is what I would try.

There are different length buffer tubes also, I'm not talking about the difference between rifle and carbine, I'm talking about carbine buffer tubes. If your carbine buffer tube is from an AR-10, The buffer tube is about 3/4 of an inch longer but they will fit an AR-15, Just a possibility. Different barrel lengths require different buffers too.

Finally got this figured out...

So far the parts count goes:
CMC Enhanced BCG that wont run no matter what.
Trybe BCG (extractor broke after 200 rounds)
JP Enterprises Bolt (gas rings were leaking)
Superlative arms adjustable gas block (wont run no matter what setting)
Seekins precision adjustable gas block (gas adjustment screw blew out)
Aero precision adjustable gas block (leaking gas)

Got it finally running by replacing the one piece gas rings on the JP Bolt with spare mil spec gas rings I got from my CMMG field repair kit, and putting a standard gas block on the barrel from my parts bin(not adjustable).

The above setup runs now with both the VLTOR A5 system (standard h2 buffer), and a parts bin setup I put on another lower, that was a basic carbine buffer, and standard buffer weight.

I cant believe how much ammo I wasted in this so far figuring it out.
