Ramshot Big Game

Has anybody used and had good accuracy with Ramshot Big Game powder? I'm going to try it in a 22-250 with some 55 grainers. Going to South Dakota this spring. I've been loading for the 22-250 for about 30 years with other powders, but I'm interested in THIS powder. Thanks in advance,

Gary, I shot Big Game out of a 1-12 twist Savage FV out to 850 yards. I used cheap 55 grain Winchester BT bullets with WLR primer. Held about 12 inch groupping. I know this is not the best, but all I do is play with this rifle. The same bullet and load at 600 yards is alot better, there's alot that goes on in that extra 250 yards. Hope this helps. I've shot it in .243, .260, .308 and it is not bad.

Any particular reason that you're interested in this powder only?

This is my go to for PD. Meters well, reasonably clean and fast and very accurate. I believe it is 36.5 gr with a 55 Sierra in my 22/250.

Thanks guys, I wanted to use this powder for a few reasons. It is supposed to be fairly temperature insensitive, it meters very well, and I have 8lbs. I just haven't tried it in a 22-250.

RAMSHOT & RL15 are both excellent choices for the 22-250 for bullets in the 52-55 gr. weight.
I have shot both extensivley and prefer RL15 because it is very versatile in other calibres.
These 2 powders can be credited with making the 22-250 achieve new and/or greater popularity.

Both powders produce low ES and SD numbers and best of all highest velocity combined great accuracy.
This is in comparison to Varget and IMR4895 powders.
