Ramshot/accurate powders for 10.5" .300blk

Got a 10.5" .300blk I built and just wanted to see what everyone is liking for powders for short barreled .300blks when it comes to accurate/ ramshot brands ( have a free hazmat membership with a site and most of there powders are ramshot/ accurate). Already got some 1680 and it's doing way better then H110 (or the factory loads) with these 168gr HPBT's. Won't be going over 200 gr except with a few cast loads but that's a different story. Really would just like to get two or three more powers to play with.
Also who makes has a manual geared towards short barreled rifles /pistol?About all my manuals and apps are running. 20-24" test barrels, 16" bare minimum.
Thanks

Data for short barrel rifles is hard to come by. Best bet is look at pistol silhouette. Sierra has Single Shot Pistol data in their manual, which is rifle cartridges in pistol length barrels. JD Jones will have also have data, SSK. Look to the contender crowd. Just keep in mind many loads won’t cycle an AR.

As for 300 BLK, mind the difference between sub and super. Sadly most data for heavy only includes subs. Again Sierra provides both. Accurate used to, if you find a manual pre Hodgdon, it’s worth owning.

Another Accurate powder worth trying is 11FS, both sub and super for an AR. For your bolt action, AA #2, 5, 7, 9 all have a place a lot depends on bullet weight. It’s tough to beat 1680 for supers over 150 grains.

Ramshot Enforcer is good for light supers(under 150 grains), same powder as Accurate 4100.

Should get you started, just remember load data for a short barrel using long barrel data is fine, predicted velocity is the only issue. But in general the most effective powder for a cartridge in a long barrel, will be the same in a short barrel. The reason it may change in a gas operated action isn’t really accuracy, it’s cycling the action.

Sierra has loada data for 300 AAC, A 1680 is covered pretty well across lots of bullet weights and seems like a good option. If you already have it, try different bullets. For short barrels just reference a powder burn rate chart and choose the faster burning powder option. It's not always exact but it can help.

I recently tried getting a good load for my 5.56 at 12.5" and it just took a lot of experimenting. I'm not precision shooter like most on this site, but i found that short barrels and small cartridges just take more consistency/fiddling to be accurate. I'm measuring down to the 0.02 gr of powder and was using 0.04 gr steps during testing. It shocked me how 24.7gr was 3moa groups but then 24.74gr grouped under 1moa. Seating depth could be another variable to fine tune accuracy, but i don't have a mic die for 5.56. Might need to get one but just don't want to add a crimp step as most mic dies don't crimp.
