Raising a beam scale to eye level.

I am wnating to raise my 10-10 to eye level (about 10"-13") and was wondering if anyone had some suggestions.

Just like TTE, I put mine on a shelf behind the press and powder measure. Select a shelf board that is not cupped or warped. Level the shelf as good as you can in both directions, and make sure it is STURDY as reasonably possible.
My experience was that after reinforcing the shelf with an additional brace under the location of the scale, the shelf was not quite level. To fix this I put a piece of ceramic tile on the shelf and shimmed to level status. Seems to work fine and I don't have to bend down to see the indicator precisely.
Hope this helps.

Probably 20 years ago I built a deal to hold my 10-10 out of 4” square tubing, it was heavy and worked well for me at the time. It still sits on my bench with a tuned 5-10 for double checking my Satorious but as others have pointed out with all our technology We have now a camera or cell phone would be the best.

I use a two level computer desk (old skool) with my 505 on the upper level, leaving me room on the lower work space. I also use a cheapo tablet on the camera function to enlarge the pointer on the scale for these old eyes. Tablet sits in a letter holder from somewhere with a box of ammo to hold everything in place.

Mine sits on 2 old style cigar boxes with a slightly larger aluminum plate under the scale. I keep thinking about something more substantial but nothing has caught my fancy yet.

First, it's a good idea to have the beam balance at eye level. Been doing that ever since I started reloading so whatever arrangement you need to make; I believe you should so that you can obtain a more precise reading and not strain your neck.

I have shelves on my reloading table, and one is dedicated to my beam balance which places it at eye level. It's a low tech, simple, solid, permanent, and uncomplicated option which I always gravitate towards. ;)

Does know one understand that you can set your powder throw and check the indicator by moving your head level. Then once you've got 10 charges the work with that method, simply stand while weighing a charge, the parallax will be the same every time.
