I had my first beam scale probably 50 years ago, we didn’t have any cell phones or cameras etc. none of that stuff nor was I a reloader, rather a helper to a friend. I think no matter what method one uses there is still a bit of subjective viewing factor.Probably 20 years ago I built a deal to hold my 10-10 out of 4” square tubing, it was heavy and worked well for me at the time. It still sits on my bench with a tuned 5-10 for double checking my Satorious but as others have pointed out with all our technology We have now a camera or cell phone would be the best.

when i had mine setup that way i built a frame out of 2x6s. it was cheap and pretty solidI am wnating to raise my 10-10 to eye level (about 10"-13") and was wondering if anyone had some suggestions.
Doesn't Moma get mad about loading in the kitchen?I built a three sided box out of scrap counter top material, I can take it where ever I need to.
That's how I used to use my balance beam scale before I went to the FX . . . looking very similar to my desk for loading, even with the GP-250 scale there.I use a camera on the scale and a monitor at eye level. This is what reading a beam scale is like in heaven.
