R700 bolt bushing and Sako extractor recommendations.

I’ve seen a couple folks that post on here that do bolt bushings, but I couldn’t find them while searching. I’m rebarreling a stock r700 action and want to get the bolt bushed and maybe get a Sako extractor put on it and am looking for recommendations for someone to do it for me. Thanks in advance!

Greg Tannel Gre-Tan rifles has been doing them for a long time and does top quality work.

After speaking with Carlsbad on here I'm 100% confident and my next bolt work will go to him

Carlsbad has done a bolt for me and one for a friend of mine...very reasonable in price and very quick turn around time. He bushed the firing pin hole and turned down the firing pin for me and on my friend's bolt he installed a mini M16 extractor and something else...cannot recall.

Are you bushing the bolt body or are you asking about bushing the firing pin hole?

I have had one bushed by Greg. It was a Rem 700 VS SF II in 204 Ruger and it left the factory with a chamfer on the firing pin hole in the bolt face. Made every primer look cratered.



And I had one bushed by Carlsbad. Primer failure left a divot. I was advised a small bit of the divot would remain unless he went with a larger bushing. I agreed to go with the standard bushing. I was quite happy with both but you will wait a lot longer with Greg currently.

Grimstod did a Mosin-Nagant bolt for me and did a beautiful job on it . Very quick turn around of about nine days if I remember .
