Quigley-Ford 5x-20x X 50mm Long Range Hunting scope.

Randy Ford sent this scope for testing. It is unique in that it features both a first focal plane reticle and an auxiliary reticle in the second focal plane. As most know a first focal plane reticle has marks that subtend the same distance , no matter what power is selected. However, the reticle features enlarge as the power is increased and vice versa. To help the shooter find the hash marks, Randy placed some heavy lines in the second focal plane to guide one's eyes to the crosshair. Also, the scope has has marks set for 200 to 1000 yards. When ordering the scope one must give information on caliber, bullet weight, bullet ballistic coefficient, and velocity.QF520DUAL_10X_sm-1.jpgQuigley Reticle.jpg

When zeroed at 200 yards, this scope is spot on at 300, 400, 500, and 600 yards with my Dasher. I shot those distances with the prescribed load of 32.2 gr. Varget and 108 gr. Berger bullet. (~2910 fps).DSCF9005.JPG Quigley-Ford at the range.JPGDSCF9006.JPGDSCF9004.JPG Quigley-Ford at the range.JPGDSCF9010.jpgDSCF9008.JPG Quigley-Ford at the range.JPG These targets were shot without wind flags and using the proper hash marks for each distance. l to R 200,300,400, 500 on my plywood deer, and 600 on the steel gong. Ps- the two shots at the "deer' were less than 1 inch.DSCF9009.JPG Quigley-Ford at the Range.JPG

I've been using this scope for a couple years on a 270. I love the scope except in low light . Wish it had a illuminated reticle for low light situations. Other then that it's fantastic. The yardage marks are pretty much spot on in my experience as well .
