Quiet case cleaning method

My friend that showed me how to hand load did not clean his brass. I didn't either initially. After getting on some of the forums, I thought I needed to clean. I used a sonic cleaner, a very quiet method. Now I have gone full circle. My rifle brass does not hit the ground. I clean the outside with a microfiber cloth and call it good. I want the carbon in the neck. I see no buildup of carbon in the case. Just think of the pressure and temperature inside the case. Think about how a self cleaning oven works. The cases are pretty much self cleaning on the inside.

Use whatever tumbler you want. The key to sound suppression is mass and airspace between the noise and the surround. Just build a box out of 1/2 inch plywood line it with 1/2 sheet foam. Support the tumbler base with 1 inch closed cell foam. Store the machine in the box when not needed. Keep 4-6 inches of air around the machine and ad an extraction fan and an air inlet to cobpnrol temperature.

Or put the whole machine in your dishwasher while you run it.

I use this method and it's super cheap, easy and they get super clean.. First I soak them overnight in the RCBS /Water solution. Then I put them in a sock, Tie it off and throw it in the wife's washing machine with some old towels. Run them through a cycle and when done they are sparkling like new.
We have a new washer and dryer, if my wife caught me doing this she would wacko me with the sock full of brsss.

Don't put them in the dryer.. It will make a racket.. Just wash em when she's out of the house.. I'm telling you. I've taken some of the grungiest looking brass , soaked it overnight in that RCBS solution and then run it through the front loader and it looked damn near new. I'll try to post a couple pics Before and after.20180225_122317.jpg 20180226_144002.jpg
