QuickLoad question

I have been tinkering with QuickLoad to find load possibilities for a 30-338 Lapua Magnum. When in QuickLoad I discovered (to my surprise) that there is a cartridge entry for the 300 Lapua Magnum. My question regards the maximum H20 case capicity. When I open the 300 Lapua Magnum cartridge I discovered the MAX H20 capacity to be 100gr. In almost all searches of the 338 Lapua case on the web that discusses case capacity I have found the number to be 113gr. In Necking down the case from .338 to .308,,, would that cause a decrease to 100gr?

Obviously necking a case down is going to reduce the internal capacity. Accordingly the weight of H2O has got to be less.

The previous poster is correct. Additionally, I have found (mostly) that QuickLOAD's case capacities are a little conservative. They usually are around the capacity of an unfired case. After firing, most of my cases increase from 5 to 10%. When in doubt, measure it yourself.

I realize the case will lose volume when necked down!! I should have phrased the question differnetly to reflect the fact that I do not have an emtpy case (yet), and, was questioning the amount of decreased volume.
