Quick Load vs. RCBS.load?

Does anybody have experience with RCBS.load and QL?

Considering buying one. I know that QL has an internal ballistics calculator but don't know about RCBS.

All experiences are appreciated!!!

Thanks,
DG

I really like the RCBS.Load. But I think that for load development and wildcating, may be the Quick Load is a better choice.

Atomic Cowboy, Did you take a look at what 300wsm worked up for me using QL, Quick Load help ). While I havent seen the RCBS program, the QL seems to have all questions answered in a simple to read format.
Good luck, Scout1

Yes I took a look at that. Looks simple enough to use. Do either of these programs have an input for atmospheric conditions? May not be as critical for internal ballistic calculations but seems like temperature has caused pressure problems in certain conditions for some.

Again may not be critical but curious to study these effects.

Cheers,
DG

Ambient temp plays an insignificant part on internal ballistics. But, the temp of your ammois of big concern.

QL does allow you to adjust for the temp of your ammo.

I own QL, and use it constantly. I don't own, but I've used the RCBS software. IMO, there's no comparison between the two. QL wins hands down.

I've been using QL for almost 3 years now, and I don't know how I ever got along without it. It's the best shooting-related $150 I've ever spent.
