It’s adjusted incorrectly. If you follow the instructions and don’t set the trigger outside of its designed limits, they are as safe as any factory trigger.

You also don’t put a 2 oz benchrest trigger on a hunting rifle. But that should be common sense. The right aftermarket trigger made by a reputable manufacturer, installed and adjusted properly, is in every way better than 99% of factory triggers.
I actually made a video the other day of slam fire when I adjusted my trigger. On a TT Diamond, the difference between 50% slam fire and 100% safe is about 1/4 turn...

Most want to adjust them to break like glass. Thats all good if you keep spares and can afford to lose a few minutes changing it if something goes wrong in a match. Adding a little more sear engagement AND more overtravel always makes for a better experience in the end
