questions about bullets and cartridges

seems like short and fat cartridges are really popular now days; i myself happen to believe in what they do, but that's beside the point. also i've heard big and slow vs. light and fast bullets are the best killers. lastly high b.c. bullets are best for long range hunting. long range = long bullets.

i would like to hear what yalls take is on what is more important and which is a better killer.

i myself like short and fat cartridges and i also like medium weight bullets flyin pretty fast, but with decent construction so they expand relativly fast and don't blow up(140 NBT .270wsm). i also don't think that high b.c. bullets transfer energy as well into animals.

that's my opinion what is yours?

i don't really dwell on this stuff, but am curious to hear some other peoples opinions.

Q:What's a better killer A:Shot placement Q:What bullets do I like A:Bonded Cores eg. (TBBC's,Swift A-frames, Woodleigh Weld Cores)whichever of the 3 listed the particular rifle likes. The bonded cores I've mentioned expand RELIABLY at a wide range of velocities and retain their weight

Second that, on shot placement. A poor made bullet, that will not expand will kill dead, when put in the right spot. I have killed a lot of game with cast bullets, that when found could be reloaded again.

i'll agree with shot placement. no arguments there at all. jst wondering about peoples preferances that are/have been in pursuit of the ideal round. and yes once again i agree that all that won't help you a bit with a bad shot. i'm not so much asking about bullet construction either. i know you shouldn't hunt deer w/ varmint bullets or FMJ. i'm sure everyone has there preferences jst curious what they might be(weights, diameters, speed).
