Question

Hi I have a Remington 700 chambered in 270 .. I have been shooting this gun for twelve years shot lots of round don’t know the count but I have noticed my groups are not as good as they were I have been able to get 3/4 out of it but now I am shooting 2’’ at 100 … my seating depth is 3.3100 but I was playing around with trying to find jam and seated the bullet with a case that was resized and put case lube on the bullet and seated it to 3.554 and it only seated it to 3.500 does this mean I have a worn out throat and need to get a new barrel just looking for advice thanks

Throat erosion is common it that caliber. Try seating the bullet deeper in the throat. You can start with a jam and then slowly reduce it a few thousands at a time. Three shot groups will generally give you a good idea if you are getting better results.
