Slick for EVERYTHING. Just my two cents Tommy McLooking at the protektor rear bag many options which would be best for F tr prone the slick ears or regular leather ears.

If you get leather, some talcum powder on humid days works to make the leather less "grabby" on the rifle. Use some PTFE tape on the forend and bottom of butt stock too.(Flying Fish Fundamentals has it reasonably priced...google them)I found the slick reflective material was sticky in humid weather. I have not used leather, but have had good luck with cordura.
