Question regarding how to do a long gun bolt action FFL transfer.

First experience selling my rifle to a member. I am in Ohio and he is in PA.
I suppose he sends his Payment and FFL paperwork to me and I give the paperwork to my FFL dealer and they handle shipping?

Sometimes the buyers FFL accepts shipment from an individual. You should call the buyer’s FFL and ask. They’ll give you the info you need to do the shipment.

Ok, thanks Josh. Yes, the buyer just informed me they will accept from a individual. He said to just box it up with paperwork inside and send attn a person to the listed FFL on paperwork.

You should also enclose a photo copy of your drivers license in the box to the FFL so he can complete his transfer paperwork.

totally true, I don't have a photo copy, I don't transfer

Write up a bill of sale and include a copy of your DL. Only ship it to the exact address on the ffl paperwork

AND most importantly, check that the FFL is indeed a valid one!
