Question please

I have been racking my brain trying to figure out the meaning of the abbreviations I often see here. If you please they are "Bump" and "TT" and probably others that I cannot think of now, I know they make sense but I cant get it......not totally a tech guy. Thanks Steve

Every time a new message is written, the thread goes to the top pf the pile of your unread messages.

These abbreviations achieve that result, but you could equally state, "the dog died" and get the same result, but the former suggest computer savvy.

As explained above, it's just a quick way to "Bump" your post back "To The Top".

You might also see "Tag", which is somebody just making any comment on a thread, so that they can quickly search through their own profile later, for all of their replies, and find a thread that they want to be able to go back and check on later, or to follow it's progress more easily than searching for the thread a week later when it is on page 5.

It's all just internet shorthand, designed for quick hit & run replies that don't need a lot of explanation.

TTT is so much easier than "I wanted to bump my own for sale post back to the top of the list so that everybody who is just waking up this morning, and may have missed it yesterday, will hopefully get another chance to see it and buy my rare and valuable widget".
