Correct....the major diameter of the threads alone is 1-1/16"DONT THINK SO 1.200 I THINK ON THE REM 700![]()
Remington actions are 1.0625 x 16tpi. Some Savage actions use a 1.055 major diameter and they are all 20tpi as far as I know. You might want to double check on the dimensions of that barrel.Hope that helpsThe barrel is for a Savage with the nut.

If the barrel is for a savage it will be 20tpi and the Rem action is going to be 16tpi that is the problem. Being its a real good deal I would double check what the dimensions are on that barrelWhoever does your barrel work should be able to make a nut. The OD is only under by .0025” which is still in spec. for class 3A. Having a little extra clearance for the Crest Flat on SS/SS contact would hold a little extra lube .
Sorry you're right , assumed it was a chambered barrel. I will shut up now.It’s still a contoured blank until it’s threaded. The original post makes no mention of the current threads cut on the barrel
