question on powder for the 243 cal.?

I shot a new load yesterday IMR 4064 with 95 Gr BT Noslers my load was 36.5 at 2.690 group size 3 shot 3/4"
I was very surprise to gain about 10" in height
I can load the same bullet with IMR 4350 and be about 1" high any reason for the difference in height comparing the 2 powder with the same bullet.
I was thinking in dropping the IMR 4064 1.5 grains down and try a longer COAL like 2 740 should get me about 20 thou off the lands.any info would help

Could you tell us a little more about the rifle you're shooting here? Brand, barrel length, twist rate, sporter barrel or varmint weight, stainless or steel, etc? ???

10 inches :o in any direction (or even 5 inches) would be strange from my experience with a 243. Never was a fan of 4064 in em either but if it works for you, it works for you. :)WD

H@R Handi 1 in 10 twist 22" barrel
I do find I have a long chamber I can seat up to 2.800 and no problems closing the lock up on the single action/
I just may try loading the low end and see what 30 thou would do bring me closer to the barrel lands
I been loading COAL 2.710
