Question on Base 20-30-40 moa

Getting a defiance Tactical single shot built for my first full benchrest rig. Starting off with 6 dasher for 200-1000yrd. we do this now with our custom hunting rigs in 284win and 7rem.

Looking at a NF competition 15-55 which has 55moa of elevation.

Anything wrong with going a 30moa base, I have the option.

Someday I might do a 30" straight 8twist in 28nosler and go for 1000-mile to play.

Primarily shooting the dasher though, just wanted to make sure I don't sell myself short by going with the 20 when the 30 would be better.

BUT don't want the 30 moa to have some shortfall to it for normal 200-1000 shooting in the dasher like not being able to ZERO at 200 for example.....

Burris XTR Signature rings are what I like. Up to 40 moa with inserts and no ring marks on your scope. If you would use a 20 base with the XTR's that's 60 moa not counting what the scope will give you.

Anyone here using an adjustable base?

20 or 30, take your pick. My defience both have 30 moa. Zero at 100... 5 barrels, 22-250ai all the way to 338 lapua...

So yes 30 will be fine too.

Just fyi
