Question for Quick-Load Users

I shoot a 6.5-06AI, and have been using Quick-Load as a guide on loads. My question concerns the BA component.
I've checked several loads over different chrony's. Used Applied Ballistics using same velocity numbers at 300meters and it came up with exactly the vertical clicks required. I've checked the fire-formed case and volume several times to be sure it's not something I did (probably is anyway).
To get Quick-Load to match the numbers, I'd have to increase the BA by 16%, and I assume the pressure by the same.....is this normal??

I, too, have been using QL for some time. I am also a long time user of an electronic circuit simulator called PSPICE.
Simulators in general are only as good as the models. And QL uses models for bullets and cases supplied by the manufacturers and in QL they are simple to correct for your personal measurements. Such as case volume as different brands of cases as well as different lots of the same brand may be off a bit. So, measure your cases and bullets. As for powder, most folks know that when you open a new jug of most powders, you have to test it against the last lot as there WILL be a difference. Enough of a difference so that for extreme accuracy, you must re-characterize your load!
QL on the other hand must use the standard model offered by the manufacturer. This model's accuracy may not be exactly accurate and of course it can never be accurate enough to cover that new lot you just bought.
I just started using the latest up-graded data pac from QuickLoad and it seems to be more accurate than the originals. Do you have the latest data pac? it's worth $16!

Makes sense to test each powder lot and tweak QL accordingly. I've tested 4 different powders and they range from 16% to 3% difference in predicted velocities.
I've read where others have adjusted the BA +/- 5%.....16% just seemed a little too much yet I didn't blow any primers, no sticky bolt, and am still in one piece.
The version of QL I have is 3.9, just purchased it this spring so I haven't looked into any additional data pacs. I assumed I would already have the most current data.

quickload is a very touchy subject on most forums but I am new here and that's my excuse.
best advise is to learn the white shaded areas first before changing burn rate. case capacity and seating depth are most common but bullet weight and length are also important. length is a big one. shot start pressure has to be adjusted for every bullet. weigthing factor is important if pressures aint matching what you are seeing on your brass and do a complete load workup with a chrony of your choice and not just one or two power charges but atleast five or six. I never had to adjust powder burn rate more than 4-5%
