Question for Larry Scott

Larry,I have a couple Sightrons, both 6-24`s,one is a big sky,the other is not is just an SII,,what is the difference..Is it the glass??? I can`t see any difference in the clarity between the two...Thanks...

I really dont know how to answer that. In most cases I never take any of the scopes out of the boxes and look at them. All of the SIII LR versions, I have examined, and as of yesterday, looked through my first 6-24 Big Sky. It is one fine scope. I havenot as yet sold just a plain SII. Sightron has some fine optics, but who ever is resposible for their model designations needs to do alot of homework. Its more confusing than a chineese fire drill !!! Larry in western Ky.
Specs are at www.sightron.com

Larry I was hoping you could explain the differences in some of the 6X24 Sightron scopes. I am very happy with my 8X32X56 but would like to know more about the other models. If they are anything like the 8X32 I would be interested in buying more Sightrons. As I am waiting for the new, 10X50X65 ) to come in.

Larry, is that new 10x50 scope really going to have a 65MM objective lens? If that's true, someone better start engineering a new series of scope rings to mount it with. Or bases, also. Man, that's a BIG piece of glass.

The info that I have is 10-50X60. I wish I understood more about the product line, but I'm basically a new kid on the block and have only been dealing w/their product since the SIII LR series became available mid 2008
I am very confident that when you have a Sightron on your rifle, you will not have to say 'its a good scope for the money', you can say with authority that it is a BETTER scope than you paid for.
We all know what company has been a household name in scopes in this country for years w/a lifetime warranty. This is where Sightron is leaving that company behind, with better quality, at a lower price, with the same lifetime warranty. Anytime a company can offer more for less, they are assured of being a winner. Thats the reason I sell, and endorse their product, because I feel they are becoming the world leader in optics, with the quality and pricing that the consumer can afford, and be happy that he owns it. Now having said that,'I want to be your SIGHTRON DEALER'. Larry in western ky.

I have both the old 'standard' 6x24x42 and Big Sky 6X24X42. I shoot both scopes in Long Range Benchrest competition. I find the glass to be better on the Big Sky.
The turret adjustments on the older model are 7.5 minutes per revolution making it easier to get lost when making large corrections like going from 200 yards to 1000 yards. On the Big Sky model it is 10 minutes per revolution of the turrets, much better in my opinion.
Big Sky 6X24X42 has 60 minutes of windage and elevation.
Standard SII 6X24X42 has 40 miuutes of windage and elevation.

Thanks James,,I never really sat down and compared them..I know I was shooting my pistols yesterday and the Sightron was about half again as clear as my 8.5-25 leupold...

Another question for Larry Scott--

Larry, when will the new 10-50X60 mentioned earlier be in dealers hands?

How much are they said to weigh? Is it on their website as yet?

thanks,
Larry
