Question for 300 wm or belted mag reloaders

Why use a case/cartridge with the Mickey Mouse belt? We haven't moved forward much, have we?
I never had dealt with one of these monstrosities until a year or two Back when I got 3ooWM by a default. Its just a constant stream of the described problems, mostly caused by the archaic retained belt. A belttless 300 WM would be a good cartridge as would a WnsSM about 2.25-2.3" long. Either one would eliminate most of the brass, resizing, primer pocket problems. Even softer brass wouldn't have the short life as it does with the belt.
Currently the best brass Ive found has been Winchester. Lapua seems to be an historical item.At least the Win brass goes beyond 4 reloadings.

Sounds like your chamber has too much bolt nose spacing or too loose there
See pics from Sep 13, 2020 above that I posted of the brass - only happens with Sako brass.

Fed and Hornady brass don’t have the same issue and appears to be internal case design difference between US made brass (fed and hornady) and Euro (Sako) made brass.

I think you may find different lots give different results. The lot of Hornady I got when the rifle came along was perhaps the worst brass I've ever seen. 4 loadings at most before primer pockets loosened or case heads started to separate. BUT, the Hornady 204 brass or the 375R bras I got is as good-almost as Lapua. While the 1 box of Lapua 308 match brass will only take 4 loadings in 6x47L before primers are finger tight.
Lots make a big difference. Manufactureres are not always bad or always good.

Good news however for us 300wm fans.

Had same problems with belt expansion. Larry Willis die and problem solved.
Dont have to resize belt after each firing. When a belt expands just use Willis die
and it brings belt back to correct size.

Unfortunately the Willis Collet Die does nothing to the belt. It only reduces the expanded area above the belt.

Yer pretty expensive.
hopefully the belts are supported in their design.
